Yesterday I put together a special after school snack for my girls. I had pretzels leftover from that yummy Strawberry Pretzel Dessert I had made and I wanted to use them up before they go stale. Most kids love S’mores but since it is -6 degrees outside, we won’t be roasting marshmallows over the fire outside any time soon. This is a way to have the combination of S’more flavors plus a little salty addition all from inside your cozy kitchen. Now these are called One Bite Wonders for a reason! They are best enjoyed in one single bite. It’s much less messy and let’s face it, it will fit in most of our big mouths!
S’more Pretzel One Bite Wonders
Ingredients
Mini Pretzel Twists
Ritz Crackers
Mini Marshmallows
Hershey’s Chocolate Bars
Directions
Line oven safe pan with foil and lay Ritz crackers out in single layer.
Lay one pretzel on each Ritz.
Add three marshmallows on top of each pretzel.
Unwrap your chocolate and break into pieces and set this aside so you are ready once it’s time to place the chocolate on.
Place pan with crackers, pretzels and marshmallows into oven and broil on Hi for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden toasted.
Watch carefully to not burn marshmallows. Remove from oven.
Quickly add one chocolate piece to each treat on top of the toasted marshmallows. Return to oven for just another 15-20 seconds.
Finish off with another pretzel on top of the chocolate. Gently press down, but be careful not to break the pretzel.
Best enjoyed warm!
I made hot chocolate to go with ours. The girls loved them and my youngest had chocolate all over her face. Nothing better!
Looks awesome. Love some s’mores but sometimes lack a campfire 🙂
